ADMISSIONS
The North American International School admits students of any race, religion, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the School. Admission decisions follow clearly established procedures involving staff members in admissions, in the academic administration, and counselling and teacher specialists. In the review process, the Principal’s decision is final regarding all applications for admissions.

Once all documentation has been received, the applicant is given an appointment for an assessment test or interview. Students applying for KGI must interview with the Principal/Head of Section. Students applying for grades KG2 to 12 must take an assessment test in Math and English. All files will be reviewed based on previous school reports and assessment test results. NAIS will contact the applicant’s school when additional information is needed to give full consideration to the application.
Families are notified, usually within a few days of testing, whether the applicant meets admission standards. Upon acceptance, a one-time non-refundable registration is due within five days to reserve a place for the following school year. The first tuition payment must also be received prior to the deadline to avoid losing the place.
If admission is granted but no place is available, the registration fee can be paid to place the student’s name on the waiting list. Once a place becomes available, NAIS will contact the family.
Please note that enrolment is always conditional upon a student successfully completing the school year (or term) at their current school and submitting final grades. Prior to the first day of school, the student file must be complete.
NAIS is a 12-year system. Please read our age requirements before filling up the application form.

* 2 Birth Certificate Copies (KG 1 to GR 1)
* Original Transfer Certificate (KG 2 to GR 12)
* Progress report from previous school.
* 2 copies of passport – Student(s)
* 2 copies of Residency visa – Student(s)
* 2 copies of passport – Parents ( Father and Mother)
* 2 copies of Residency visa – Parents ( Mother and Father)
* 2 copies of Emirates ID ( Student(s), Father and Mother)
* Health Card Copy
* Vaccination Card copy
* Transportation Form (if Required with photograph)
The transfer certificate requirements are as follows:
1) Previous school located in Dubai
School stamp and signature (TC must be in Arabic)
2) Previous school in another Emirate of the UAE
School stamp and signature
(TC must be in Arabic and it has to be attested from Ministry of Education)
3) Previous school located outside the UAE
School stamp and signature
The Ministry of Education of that country
Ministry of foreign affairs of that country
UAE Embassy pertaining to the country the school is in
